Italian abstract painter Massimo Angei gives form to the intangible in his earth-toned works, each suffused with delicate and complex layers of color and firm, resolute markings. The feeling, memory, and emotions within the painting emerge along with a refined, subtle sensuality. Massimo Angei's artistic impulse is based in the subjective, romantic, dreamscapes and transience, all of which serve to guide the feelings of the viewer into a fantastic space where perception becomes emotion.

Massimo Angei earned a degree in Painting from the Fine Arts Academy in Carrara, Italy, and his work has been included in exhibits throughout Italy. He has enjoyed an immensely successful career in commercial photography, and his images have been published in prominent magazines worldwide.  Massimo currently lives with his daughter, Maria Elena, in Sarzana, Italy.
