About Elizabeth Cowhig

Elizabeth Cowhig Painting

The exuberant abstraction of East Coast painter Elizabeth Cowhig playfully shapes color as a dense, viscous substance, swirling with flecks, fissures, and clouds of milky hues. These translucent pieces capture the natural sunlight, adding to the luscious and glossy sheen of her warm pinks, oranges, blues and greens.

In addition to exhibiting her work with the Bill Lowe Gallery in Santa Monica, Elizabeth Cowhig has participated in numerous group shows throughout the East Coast. She earned an M.F.A. from Louisiana State University and a B.A. from Clark University in Massachusetts.
