Works of Margarita Checa

Margarita Checa is an amazing artist who creates visual poems via the creation of statues and figurines. Born in Peru in 1950, Margarita Checa went on to graduate from the Catolica Del Peru School of the Arts with Honors. Then, in 1979, she attended the Juan Pastorelli Perspective Workshop; from 1979 to 1980, Checa attended the Life Drawing Workshop under Christina Galvez; and from 1984 to 1985, she studied under Leslie Lee. Margarita Checa’s work is exceptional, detailed and unique; her favorite medium to use is wood. Each masterpiece is made with love and inspiration, making Checa’s pieces favorites for collectors around the globe. Some of her more popular exhibits include the Lucia de la Puente Gallery in Peru and the Lowe Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia, which can be visited at their respective online sites.
