James Havard is an American artist whose works have tended to defy convention for much of his 40-plus year career. James Havard is also very well known for his intense yet delicate use of color and space to convey a deep and almost spiritual connection to his subjects.

James Havard rose to notoriety with images that seemed almost mystical in their composition. James Havard is able to readily mix textures, colors and even cultural influences to create images that seem to draw the viewer in to a world of ethnic understanding and multiculturalism.
