Life in Color – The Life of Ton Schulten Part 1

Born in Ootmarsum, the Netherlands, Ton Schulten grew up in a traditional catholic family of six children. Even as a child, Ton Schulten spent many hours drawing in his attic room.

Over the years, Ton Schulten ventured into business, but finding little success outside his continuing passion for art. By 1983, Ton Schulten found himself buried in work with little time for his art and leaves the corporate world in 1989 to paint.

Within one year, his wife opens a small art gallery in Ootmarsum, called 'Galerie Kerkplein'.
